You Five

Oh hi.

Thanks for the invite. Let's try and see if we can have a good-faith discussion here.

  1. It's tripe. I don't "control" shit. Subreddits are teams and and unless you're on the top spot you have very little power at all.

This list is a deliberate attack on these five mentioned people, it lifts us out of lists that contain dozens of moderators and leaves out other prolific moderators.

This list is an attempt to generate harassment.

  1. There is only one single subreddit I am politically active in and I am only politically active in that subreddit because the userbase demands it. Mods have no power, it is the users that control reddit. If you piss off your userbase they will walk. Many large subreddits have died because the users collectively decided the mods were shit and they moved to a replacement subreddit. As a group of a two, three dozen moderators there is no way you can oppose what tens of thousands of active users want the subreddit to look like. You can curate content, remove spam, you can guide and set boundries. You cannot change subreddit culture or impose your own beliefs.

  2. I am good at what I do. I was invited to teams because I am an expert on certain topics and I have certain skills. Moderators that receive money in exchange for moderating are suspended site-wide and not allowed back on reddit. This has happened a few times to a few people in the past.

  3. Correct.

  4. I am not a content creator. I write texts but I do not post.
