We didn't choose to be born. We are here. I'm a religious man, so for me it's about living this life to the best of my ability in order to benefit from this world and the hereafter. Continued benefit has this give and take aspect to it. So I give back to from some of the benefits I enjoy.

I'll share some advice that was shared with me a long time ago. We Pakistanis, Muslims need to stop looking at wanting to have money as a bad thing. As Muslims we aren't supposed to fall in love with the money. We have sets of parameters that define the dos and donts of squaring money, this in itself shows that acquiring money isn't bad. Having money puts you in a position that allows you to have options. You can be stingy or you can maximize your the rate of return from that money in happiness and ease for yourself and others. The more you help others the more you feel good about yourself. The better position you put your family in the better you feel about yourself. All the while you're earning akhirat points.
