Friend kicked me out of her wedding because of my wedding date.

Lmfao I’m sorry but your friend is nuts. Her “spotlight” starts on her wedding day and literally ENDS on her damn wedding night (okay fine, maybe wedding events prior counts too but thats it). My goodness, people need to calm down, no offense. Once her wedding ends, her wedding “spotlight” is over, and you are literally free to celebrate your wedding whenever. She doesn’t get to “own” the whole freaking month after her wedding.

I swear, people forget that nobody cares about your wedding as much as you do. Your friends and family join you to celebrate on your special day but after that, they go back to their normal lives and that is that.

This woman is not your friend and you have literally done nothing wrong. I am sorry you are going through this but its good to cut out the toxicity in your life and celebrate the ones that matter and treat you right. You don’t need to feel bad - she is the one acting out of line and also, its common for people to opt out of destination weddings. If the bride and groom want to prioritize maximizing attendance, then have the wedding locally.
