GA Film Academy/Interning

I took it, I'm pretty sure it was only $875. It's kind of a crash course, a lot of it is hands on. I already had a lot of experience in video production and just wanted to learn more about the film side of things. Once you are done with the course you have to do an internship the following semester, and they'll email you every day with all kinds of cool opportunities. By the end of the course I decided set life wasnt for me and ended up doing an internship in post, but they said I can still do one on set if I want to (even though it's been 2 years). Pretty much everyone I knew in there ended up getting hired by the people they interned for, and it wasnt small stuff either, a bunch of people worked on the Avengers, some went to Walking Dead.

I think for the money its definitely worth it. I knew a lot about the technical side of things from my time in video production, but didnt know jack about roles on the set and the hierarchies and whatnot. I took the classes at Gwinnett Tech which is a shit school but it was really easy and the contacts you make will be the same.
