Eh, if you didn't like your experimentation with the early stuff, then you should just let it drop. The new series has a more coherent storyline/world than the original series.

I suggest that you watch ONE episode of He-man, Thundercats, or whatever. The episodes are short, you can get their vibe right off the bat. If you don't like your first experiment with the genre, then feel free to ignore the first-gen She-Ra episodes. But if that's not an option, I'd ask you to give the new series a shot, because it's very different from the original one.

The current iteration of She-Ra is fun and queer and empowering, but in a way that doesn't offend conservative people but that doesn't feel 'closeted'. If it's not you're style right now, there's other fun stuff out there, so don't feel bad if the Netflix show isn't your thing right now.
