I think Gentoo has more in common with Debian than it does with Arch

I suspect you are right though, I suspect Gentoo isn't properly explained, in many posts and videos.

I blame this on the youtubers who keep comparing Gentoo in the same light as Arch, and me for listening to them.

I think the Handbook should have a section that emphasizes on the stable aspect of it.

I think it does say that already but I think a lot of people confuse the "stable" aspect of Gentoo with the stable branch of Arch.

Both are rolling releases but I still think people confuse them on the older vs newer packages, and then get disappointed when they can't get it to be more like Arch.

I think it would be nice if the Handbook made that a bit more clear, I think your posts are also very good, thanks.
