The new player experience is why Destiny will never explode to the larger gaming community

I see this stuff and I just fall into a fit of maniacal laughter because nothing said about D2 is original anymore. Everything has been exhaustively discussed, or ignored and shutdown at this point. I've been on both sides of public opinion and have shouted myself hoarse on different topics that at this point I can't tell if I have conscious thoughts about this game or if my eyes glaze over, I enter autopilot and yammer on to nobody about nothing.

The reason the game won't "explode" into the larger gaming community is because we've been in "the good times" for gaming going on 20+ if not closer to 30 years. What's been thought of has been tested or discussed and with how integrated the internet is someone can pull up an example in seconds. At the same time the game has "exploded." There were 5 million new players with WQ? Yet at the same time Season of Plunder was the worst season with regards to player numbers (according to Bungie's API) even beating "Curse of Osiris."

Most of the games industry is in a bubble running on cycles. What new players come in replace old players that leave until eventually old heads return and swap out again. We exist in a period of life and death following the ebb and flow of gaming interest. Hell, even just me trying a dozen times sitting here typing this, this isn't an original thought and won't ever be.

Focusing on big picture shows the insignificance of each every single one of us so focusing on personal experiences and journey is where you'll thrive.

Damn it all I'm speaking in circles again. Do with this pointless comment as you will I need breakfast.
