I realize you're a complete imbecile, but that's a lame attempt at a gotcha. The fact that Yakupov has spent extensive time on the 3rd line, and now the Oilers have added yet another forward to that mix that will be ahead of Yakupov on the depth chart, not to mention Draisaitl at some point in the near future makes my point for me.
My point about the second line is strong, and it points to just how poorly the Oilers have planned this whole "rebuild." Having one of these guys on the second line is absolutely absurd, much less the third line.

The Oilers do not have a legitimate starting goaltender. They've run through several teams' backups that everyone thought would flourish as starters. And that's what Talbot is. And he's fucking 27.
I'm also not sure you've counted how many young first overall picks have been traded for defensemen in the last 15 years.
