Great Pyrenees Obedience

Yup. You’re pretty much right. I have a half Pyrenees that was the most annoying little shit to train. What I would do though is run with him as soon as he got old enough to. So he was leashed any time we would run/hike (4-5 times a week 30min+). Then when we got home, I’d teach basic commands for another 15mins+. He’s pretty good now: he comes over when he’s not totally distracted and when we hike he wanders but never too far. I actually backpacked and camp with him and I’m sure he thinks I’m his sheep because he just guards my tent all night. Even him being half could be a big factor in his training abilities but I also realize putting in 45min is a lot for a lot people, but can’t blame the dog for barking or wandering often when that’s what he was bred to do. I wouldn’t trade him for any other dog though
