Please hear me out because this is probably not the right platform to provide a philosophical answer of any sort but I think this is a crowd that would benefit intellectually outside of our reddit time from thinking about this. The modern trend of telling people what they want to hear to show tolerance and 'love' is becoming a harmful aspect of our society. We do not want to offend people, and naturally want to be people pleasers it is part of human nature and that is great, and we should certainly respect others' decisions as their own to ultimately make. ... But true love would be helping bring ourselves and our surrounding humans up by pointing out problems and providing solutions without the recipient having a victim complex or feeling offended by negative feedback. (obviously not in places here on reddit but truthfully in general this needs to be said) Honestly I think there is merit to pointing out your partner's health. If he straight up called you fat then that was a dick way to handle a concern. However, I think his comment has a helpful undertone to it whether intentional or not.

Appropriate body weight isn't just a physically appealing characteristic that alludes to a clean, fertile body, but it also prevents a lifetime of taxing stress on your cardiovascular system as well as other factors.

A good boyfriend would find an encouraging way to motivate you to improve your health through diet and exercise.

Honest answer that most of every guy here out there would say behind your back or if they weren't showing their tolerance and 'gentleman like' qualities...?? You look great but could stand to lose a few pounds maybe 15 not too much? You would generally feel better and more alert, potentially more sexually inclined, look even better and help prevent disease if you lost a little bit of weight. Again, that said, I'm not saying you are unhealthy or unattractive looking you look great you could pls sit on my face :)
