Questions you may have been thinking when seeing this:
Why'd you go with a soundbar? Get some good bookshelf speakers. Even the miccas and a cheap amp will sound miles better.
It's kind of cramped as is. I don't use it very often. And as an owner of some solid bookshelves, I have come to realize I am not an audiophile. I'm sorry if my ears are shit, but spending money to please other people when it doesn't impact my enjoyment is silly. Same idea applies to my headphones
Next upgrade should be an Ultrawide or 60% keyboard
I actually use my numpad fairly often. I am not bothered by the size of full keyboards. I have tried a 29" Ultrawide, and maybe a bigger, curved one would give me the proper UW experience, but I ended up liking 16:9 better. The only benefit to me was UW looked cooler on my desk, but when it was in use I didn't actually care lol. Having a fullscreen video while I play games or 2 full monitors to fill with documents and webpages while doing homework >> Ultrawide, imo
You know IKEA desks are just cardboard right?
Yes
Why do you have that Mic?
It's a long story lol. It is overkill. I do not stream
Other notes:
I have drilled holes for my keyboard and charging stand. I also bought a cheap ass (like sub $50 IIRC) circular saw to cut out a chunk of my desk to attach the monitor stand. I had no previous experience with any sort of "real" tools, but it worked out lol.
Plex server is running on NAS because it is already on 24/7 and pretty much all my media direct plays so transcoding isn't really a problem.
The patent prints above my desk are of a floppy disk, a projector, and headphones. I purposely placed the floppy disk above the nas and the headphones above my headphones haha. There's a projector setup behind this, so the projector print isn't random either.
That should cover most things, the end
