They heal fast

There are four things that I want to convey here:

  1. Luffy has found a way to consistently perform 3.5 of the 6 Rokushiki techniques (Six Powers) - Shave, Iron Body, Paper Art [part of Life Return/Kami-e], Moonwalk, in that order.

  2. The Minks have an advanced healing technique, which is likely the form of Life Return that Kumadori uses.

  3. Kumadori is a Mink.

  4. Luffy, or another crew member, will fully master Life Return in this arc.

Let's get started.

*1. * After his encounter with CP9, Luffy learns of six powers that can be attained by any individual after much training. During his first victory, Luffy shows that the increased power of Gear Second allows him to perform Shave/Soru. Once he's mastered CoA and CoO, Luffy now has control of Iron Body/Tekkai and Paper Art/Kami-e. Finally, with the advent of Gear Fourth, Luffy can achieve Moonwalk/Geppo.

*2. * So that's what Luffy already knows. What about the technique that Kumadori displayed? Chopper locked him in the fridge; eventually, Kumadori burst out of his restraints, stuffed full. Big K is exceptionally oversized, before performing another version of his Life Return technique that allows him to instantly metabolize food. Luffy has shown a similar talent throughout the series, but nothing that was actively utilized during a battle or battle environment.

OK, but who cares? Luffy has already eaten waaaaaay past full several times in the style of Kumadori's Life Return, right? Yes, but that was a purely defensive/regenerative technique, and when there wasn't any danger present. What if he was able to eat his way back to full health in the middle of a battle scenario? Big Mom's home island is made of candy and sweets, so I could see this becoming useful.

*3. * Now to the manga panels: the crew mentions the Minks' remarkable healing abilities. Why can they heal so fast?? Second: Kumadori insists that Chopper refer to him as a manly Lion. Minks come in all kinds of animal types. (Not strictly related, but we also don't get much canonical info on Nami's fight with Kumadori, but if you recall the number of times through the series she relies on Thunder Tempo, you can imagine she tried to use it on big K. With the Minks' ability to shock, they might have a natural resistance to electricity.)

Long story short, there's some minor evidence that points to Kumadori being a Mink. If Kumadori is a Mink, and knows an advanced form of Life Return, it's not unrealistic to assume that other Minks with high healing abilities would also have this Life Return ability.

*4. * I assume Luffy will be the one to master Kumadori's technique, but considering the previous moments where he already displayed a capacity for Life Return, it may be another crew member who gets this ability. Who then? Sanji got Moonwalk, Zoro got a version of Rankyaku as early as Skypiea, and Usopp found a cheat to get the secret 7th technique Rokougan. I think that the convenience of animal-to-animal interaction could leave Chopper with significant power-ups, if Luffy isn't the one to get these sweet tricks.

There you go.

*tl;dr: Kumadori is a mink, and Luffy (probably Luffy) will learn how to master Life Return during the Furry arc. *
