I heard a segment on NPR about a woman who had written something in a book as a child. She said to herself something like “I’m going to marry the man who finds this book.” Then years later at a man’s house she found that book and ended up marrying the man. What is this segment/episode?

You don’t by some miraculous chance happen to know of a somewhat similar love/connection story featured in a segment on NPR in which a man fell in love with a woman during his service in Vietnam, and was unable to take her home upon his return to the United States? If I remember correctly, this man got married to someone, raised some kids and life just ‘went on’ without this woman whom he loved. Then, years down the road, this man’s son is to be married to a woman - she just so happens to be a Vietnamese woman - and when he meets his son’s fiancé’s parents, he immediately recognizes the girl’s mother to be his lost love?

I promise I don’t just tune into NPR for this sort of Sleepless-in-Seattle-esque content. This story just came to mind earlier today shortly after I somehow remembered the other story that was the subject of this post.
