British here, but I certainly won't hold your Americanness against you. On the contrary, I think it's fantastic to see so many people from the US showing interest in both British football and football in general now, given that when I was growing up, it never seemed to have much of a foothold there. :) Football has the power to unite people from such a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures, and I've always found that side of the game to be one of the most beautiful things about it, so I love seeing football fever taking root in countries that haven't historically attached a great deal of significance to the sport. And if people choose to follow Forest Green, all the better! Like you say, the club's approach to sustainability is something that deserves to be a model for the rest of football, so it's great to see it winning acclaim and recognition from so many different corners of the world.
