One bad thing about Scandinavian countries that every single person I know who moved there from abroad told me is that it is borderline impossible to have locals in your circle of friends.

I have many friends living abroad (coming from Southern Italy many people try to find better opportunities leaving) and this is a common feedback. In Spain, Portugal, France, Czechia, Poland, Slovakia, even the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, and Switzerland it is common to have many locals in your circle of friends. In Denmark, Sweden, and Norway (I do not know anybody who went to Iceland) it is much much harder - locals tend to keep friendships among each other.
