I absolutely love PvP despite its flaws. My 2 cents:
All stats (gear & guns) and perks apply to PvP despite them disappearing when you hit the PvP stats button.
It’s information warfare as much as it is a shooter. Sounds, drones, deaths (friendly & enemy) tell you something critical. Never ignore the smallest detail.
Communication = victory. Use your mic and find a full team that does too and watch your win rate skyrocket. Keep chatter down to only call outs as your teammates will be listening for enemy footsteps as much as you. Find a team on LFGs/Discord.
Freeze the instant you hear footsteps and let them come into your sights whenever possible. Learn to creep (crouch + walk). Make a private game with a friend and learn footstep and gunshot distances.
Play in 3rd person as much as possible. It gives you a major view advantage where you can see the enemy while being 100% hidden and behind cover.
Read the PvP tutorial page completely. Lots of good tips and changes from PvE that many people don’t know just because they haven’t taken the time to read.
