***C'mon Ubisoft*** - Article: How the U.S. Military Slowly Fell in Love with Glock

Big Army uses the M17. Marsoc used to use the M45A1 but that is gradually being phased out in favour of the M0007 (Glock 19). The rest of the Corps use the M18 which the Sig P320 chambered in .40 cal.

Delta, Rangers, Green Berets used to use the M1911A1 and M9 way way back in the day, during the Iraq War. It seems higher up officers like to still carry the 1911, however new operators and Rangers are given Glock 17s and Glock 19s (Gen 5) respectfully.

SEALs and USN SWCC were all about the P226 until that got gradually phased out with Glocks circa 2016. This move was actually met with some resistance because some in the Navy Special Warfare community felt that the Sig P226 was something that was important to its unit identity.

if you are tier 1 operator, you could easily put in a request to the armorer to be have a different sidearm for a deployment; I would imagine you would have to justify it though. I imagine that a lot of the older operators still use 1911A1s, M11s & M9A3s just because they have put thousands of rounds through them and just simply shoot better with them.

British SAS have used the Glock ever since they have phased out the Browning hi-power which is actually pretty recently. I have read articles about Navy Seals using the p12 aka USP.

There are quite a few articles in Military blogs about how pretty much every SF unit in the US Army and Navy I've decided to start issuing Glocks to new initiates.

But yes, the entire US Military, aside from SF is getting the M17 or M18 depending on the branch.

Also according to Wikipedia, the CZ75 is used by CAG for some reason. Probably not in any great numbers but that sidearm is it in the game either.

The fact that we don't have a CZ 75 nor any Glocks kind of pisses me off because I only play with one primary.
