How do I go about informing my family?

It shows that they don’t care how good a person is in terms of ethical behavior being a genuinely good human being otherwise whether or not someone had cut a part of their body should be secondary to what kind of person they are. How they lead their life and how they treat others should be the single most important thing.

Also they like it when you point out that even in Israel some mothers in Orthodox chose to not let their babies get the bris mila - i asked them what they thought of it and it was just denials and downvotes. Yet you can google it actual orthodox moms refusing to do it to their babies. They don’t want to admit they are wrong, because their identity is inseparable from it as is how their view others as outsiders from themselves.

Sorry for what you are going through, it looks like you have gotten some really good answers here. Probably the wrong place but just sharing my thoughts on this.
