How do you think the high elf trio WL/PG/SM should be fielded?

I have very limited knowledge of WHFB but im trying my best to make an army list that is both fun, efficent and competitive.

However i get stuck a bit when it comes to specials, for example i have a dilemma with blademasters:

A 7x1 of blademasters is efficent, but any magic and its dead. Loses combat effectiveness fast.

A 7x2 Will also be efficent while not dying at once, but will never make any use of bonus attack from third rank that elves get.

A 7x3 Uses third rank, will sustain DPS and can take a few hits. At this point i can also justify spending much needed BotWD and magic on them.

A 7x4 will get another rank and keep fighting as a 7x3 after losing a few units. However those 7 are just filling up slots for a few combat turns.

White lions confuse me even more. Stuborn makes me want to field them as a 3x3, to make full use of it. But at the same time that unit will die to any magic.

A 6x5 seems balanced and will survive for a good while, but still units behind not doing anything.

A horde of 10x4 would really put out a lot of str 6 attacks and making full use of stubborn. Still seems to costly, and is one of the units that will lose effectiveness after a couple of rounds with combat.

A 10x6 would never die and some units would only fill up slots and give combat resolution bonuses, but if i really wanted a 60 horde it would be this or seaguard. Having a 60 of SM is hardly worth it and a 60 of PG would be expensive and inefficent.

PG confuse me the most. They seem tanky and killy under the right conditions. But will people attack them or ignore them? Will they try to tarpit my unit or send in MSU to hold them up? Or will they just ignore them and kill my other stuff.

I have tried to think of having a 3x7 to win combat resolution while tarpitting or 5x3 as a mage bunker(because they can take the miscasts). I could go for some bigger numbers, but to have them deep or have them as horde? I have no idea.

SM and WL might be squishy, but in that way i can understand them, since i know they wil bring the hurt i think i know how my opponent would react. With PG i have no idea.

Also some context. I want Teclis because that would make my magic phase flexible and unpredictable.
