How Liberals Lost the Constitution — And How to Win It Back

Hello, Europe here. You know what I'd like to hear? Give me a serious debate about the pros and cons of having your revered constitution as a fucking lodestar for literally any decision ever. Give me somebody that questions why "hey should we let corporations straight up buy politicians" has to turn into a fucking free speech thing.

I feel like a lot of the time you guys tend to be like "oh we disagree here on whether people should be wearing unmatched pairs of socks but see the 4th amendment guarantees", but like... Maybe if you didn't have a 300-yeaf old book to fall back on you'd be more inclined to try and figure shit out from first principles?
