I had similar experience recently - had ordered a full-spectrum cart online, didn't realize until after I'd left the dispensary that it was labeled hi-terp distillate. MMJ falls under the same sorts of laws as prescription medications, which I know from previous experience that once you leave the pharmacy with, they cannot legally accept back. Called the dispensary anyway over it, because it was still in the sealed package, and they said they wished they could, but there was nothing they could do because of state law.

To their credit, they were super nice and apologetic about it. Credited $30 to my customer account (I had only paid like $45 for it bc of sale, and they said their store policy is 50% max credit, but they'd honor the item's $60 shelf price) and took full responsibility for it being their mistake.

To OP: Can you ask budtender if either you or they can have a look at a few different containers of bud before selecting one? I think I've seen someone on here mention before that their person will pop off the lids (not the plastic layer) of NSM containers to let them see the bud inside.
