Ideas are a dime a dozen? Then let's hear your best one /r/entrepeneur!

  • Not an idea, but just a thought. I've read something like: you are really wealthy when the people working for you are millionaire. Or something like that. You're rich when you're a millionaire. You're wealthy when the people working for you are rich. I was just thinking, look at how many people, vloggers, content creators, etc. became even millionaires or made a lot of money by uploading videos to Youtube. Instead of thinking of an idea with the approach of "how can I get the most off the people and make myself rich", try instead to think, "how can I make other people rich?". Think in serving/empowering others instead of taking from them.

  • Someone needs to make Uber competitors, locally AND outside the U.S. For example, an Uber competitor in Brazil only. Uber drivers make very little money. Make an Uber in Brazil, where drivers get paid better. Is it doable? Can you do it?

  • Something needs to be done in order to improve AI, algorithms, etc, to help people connect easier with strangers. Specially at dating websites, apps. The current state it's all about quantity, but the quality is very poor. You get tinder for example, that you have this endless stream of people that you keep swiping and swiping and it never ends, and this at first seems exciting and it's like a good thing, but really, how many people are you connecting with out of all this absurd amount of people? Psychologists, scientists and statisticians needs to get together with programmers and figure out an effective way to make people match. I'd like to see the reverse. I open an app, and it shows me as little as 5 people only. And then I go talk to those people, and it feels like I've known them from years and the bounding is just very easy and effortless. The current services aren't doing enough.

  • An app, website that let's you give a permission to it and it'll analyse every single porn you watch, in order to make perfect recommendations for you. Again, this has to do with very advanced algorithms. This is way beyond the "hey, he watched this x pornstar video, let's recommend other videos of the same pornstar", or "he watched an orgy video, here are some other orgies". No, that's week stuff. I'm talking about AI finding very specific patterns between everything you watched and connecting them. x% of the videos you watched were outdoors, y% the actress were pale brunet, z% there were some form of role playing. The next thing you have, is all those things in the same video and you're like, holy shit, this is the best thing I've ever watched, this is for me.

  • I think there's room for more electric car companies. Electric will be the future, and there's still very little electric cars out there. Also, fully autonomous self driving is still far from perfect. I wonder if the methods used by Tesla, google, uber, etc. are the only ways to do it. Maybes there could be another approach completely different that no one has thought about it that could achieve the result much faster. This thing is taking a lot of time to perfect it. If you think self driving behaving with that human agility like, yea, it's still very far and there's a long way to go. Things are still very robot like, and slow.

  • Way too many food go to waste/to the garbage, at the end of the day, everyday, specially at grocery stores. And then you have lot of people within this same area who are broke and can't afford to buy food. Connect the two somehow. I don't know how you can profit from this.

  • End homelessness in big cities, by building very big warehouses like type of dorms, where this place is also a factory and this people have to work for you so they have a place to sleep and eat. So let's say you're Apple. Instead of making hundreds or thousands of chinese people assemble your iphones, make the homeless in your country, city, to do it. In a way, that you'd pay as little as you pay the chinese and still make your large profit, so you won't lose anything. The bonus here, is that you're ending homelessness.

  • I find it unbelievable that today, if you want to txt message an stranger, by approximation, you can't. Because there's no app for that. There's a barrier today that you can only connect with people that you already know, but not with strangers. I'll explain. Let's say you're at a coffee shop, then you see a cute girl. You both exchanged some looks, there were some quick flirting. Then you think, damn, I wish I had the balls to walk up to her and say hi, then you realize how awkward for both parties that would be, real life isn't like in the movies, that would just be inappropriate and you'd look like a creep. Then you think, damn I just wish I had her phone number. IF ONLY I COULD SEND HER 1 TXT MSG, that'd be awesome and could lead to something, we could start a conversation from there. It'd be a lot less awkward and intrusive. More discreet. So you'd open this app, and this app very precisely shows that from just a few meters away from you, just like a radar, the same way uber shows an map with a car approaching, this other person also has that app installed. Then I'd click on her, and write I txt, "hi". And from there, we could continue our interaction afterwards. As soon as I leave the coffee shop, and distance myself, those people that were showing near to me, just disappear and now I can't see nor communicate with them. That's the only point, you CAN ONLY txt people near you. Physically near, in space and time, by near I mean meters away. Go on craigslist and see how many people post on missed connections everyday. This app would solve this problem. Today the way you connect with strangers goes like this. You open Tinder, you send a msg to this stranger that you never saw in real life ever, all you're seeing are photos online. You hope to bond online, and then eventually lead to a meeting in real life. This app works in reverse. You briefly saw someone in real life FIRST, you msg them. You'll continue communication online after. And then eventually it can lead to meet BACK to real life again. Tinder/current dating apps = online -> real life. This app idea = real life -> online -> real life . I think this app would lead too much better quality and useful connections. And marketing is everything, this app would only work once it gets viral and popular and everyone has installed on their phones.
