Incorrect. The proof is a matter of perspective. You can prove it to yourself, but that's the limit of it.

If you want to prove it to yourself you need to let go of your distinction and your definitions, the semantics of all your symbolism needs to melt away so there is only syntax left.

The Universe is an infinite place, but from the human perspective it seems finite. This is because as humans you only have finite resources and finite time, which means your measurements are limited to other finite things. If you can stop seeing yourself as something separate from the infinite Universe, then suddenly you're infinite too, and measurement of that which is infinite can finally be performed accurately.

It's not an opinion, you just haven't taken things to their logical extremes yet.
