If we lived in Elite's world, with population scaled to that amount. Even with the small percentage of people who would actually explore. How quickly do you think the Milky Way would be completely discovered?

Now imagine the scale difference between a single atom, and the entire planet. Super immense!

Infinity is literally forever every single object you try to use to help yourself envision it is limited, where infinity is UNLIMITED.

Here it comes: even the observable universe is FINITE.

So now take all those people, if ALL of them became explorers, and each of them discovered a unique system EVERY SECOND. They’d still all die before a tenth of the galaxy was discovered.
