Feedback on my scanning strategy, please!

The implicit suggestion is to target bodies which are of interest to you, rather than being too broad or generic (just like when you scan all earth-likes/ammonia+water worlds, it's very specific makes it simple).

I don't scan as much as you listed, because it's not that interesting after the 300th occurrence. I add to the list of worlds with life the giants with life forms, their atmosphere looks different in the system map and they stand out.

I also detail scan systems with several metal worlds within 300ls of the main star to round up my income, however when it comes to optimising profit, I"m on the fence about detailed scanning, just buzzing the system might be a more efficient way of making money faster from exploration (but that means not checking the system map at all - it's not my style, but if that's your goal my advice might not be optimal, keep that in mind).

What I'm interested in is specific stellar phenomena which are not very frequent. I have a matrix of all the start types, luminosity, size and age range. My purpose is to find one of which and some are very elusive although I visited areas with a lot of diversity. For example, with my next trip, I'm looking for very dim white dwarfs specifically (apart from the large list of more common stars that I haven't found yet), I don't even know if they're in the game. Also, as I'm reading stuff on the subject, I keep adding to the list. So, if you want a process, decide what you want to find, what phenomena you'd like to map out, rather than focusing on gamey stuff. You can do similar stuff with planets on which you can land on. No advice there because I haven't researched the topic yet.
