I have just been approved for my pension, and I will collect my first check in a couple of days. This job carried me for the past five years, for which I am grateful. I also have a base rate of $9. Surprisingly, my classses are starting to pick up, so I may be able to compress my available hours into a few timeslots a day and after 5:30 am.

To be honest, this job has taken a major toll on my health and my relationships. That part of is is not VIPkid's fault.

I have other issues with VIPkid. The company destroyed the ESL online industry. We used to earn upwards of $25 to $30 an hour, and as a professional language teacher , we were involved with high end programs. I was involved with prepping students for university entrance exams, including the SAT in the USA. I don't know if we can ever get back to those days. My agency in Hong Kong was so frustrated when VIPkid cam onto the scene with its inferior materials and unqualified language teachers.
