IslamQA is a horrible website for Islamic questions

A lot of scholars like Shaykh al Uthaymeen for example and their evidence is stronger based on what is apparent from the Quran and Sunnah and there’s less need for ijtihad.

First, there is no clear evidence from the Quran and Sunnah that says the substance of khamr is najis.

Second, in the Quran when Allah mentions the impurity of khamr (intoxicants), Allah also mentions al azlam which are divining arrows and we all know arrows are not najis.

Third, when the verse about the forbidding of khamr is revealed, someone brought a container filled with khamr to the Prophet ‎ﷺ and the Prophet ‎ﷺ explained that khamr is no longer permissible so that person spilled the khamr right in front of the Prophet ‎ﷺ and the Prophet ‎ﷺ didn’t asked him to washed the container.
