I'm so happy to see the out-pour of support for these two characters, especially Haku. I remembered your telling me of your love for Haku, and hopefully I did him justice in this giveaway/honoring. The fact that he was so normal of a character, so capable of being envisioned in reality as a possible friend, it made him one of the best characters introduced in Naruto to this date and made his and Zabuza's arc all the more painful to remember.
I'm so glad to know that this community has been so accepting of these sorts of themed giveaways and that we're all able to talk to one another on a more personal level because of it, that's one of the goals I have for all of my giveaways. Hopefully this community will continue to be welcoming of the types of giveaways I have planned.
And the resurrection jutsu is a twisted and demented thing. Taking the souls that were once at rest and forcing them to act once again but under the control of another is something I can't even imagine. Not to mention the fact that the jutsu requires a live conduit to function and that their soul is essentially discarded makes it even worse. But like you, I too am happy for Haku learning of what occurred after his death. Learning of Team 7's growth and of Zabuza's actual feelings, those words must have meant the world to him.
And thank you for the compliment on the Pokemon choices, it took me quite a bit to figure out which Pokemon would fit each character. If Froslass could've been a male I definitely would have chosen him, but the fact that Froslass can only be female put me off of the idea (also the background of Froslass is too creepy for Haku, and I didn't feel that a Ghost type fit for what Haku was capable of). But I'm glad to hear that this inspired you to raise your own Glaceon Haku <3
Greninja's attack animations was really what sealed the deal for Zabuza, that and the moveset available helped to cement his role as the shirtless swordsman. Night Slash for his adept swordsmanship, Haze for his hidden mist capabilities in removing his opponents advantages, Dark Pulse for his strong/stifling killing intent, Bounce for his ability to dodge attacks and strike from above his opponents, and Hydro Pump for his strong water affinity and utilization of the water dragon jutsu.
Glaceon proved to be more fitting for Haku in that Glaceon is quite androgynous of a Pokemon at first glance but is quite beautiful and graceful in it's movements. Natural Gift relates to Haku's innate ability to find medicinal herbs and berries in the wild, Flail for his ability to power through and continue the fight when he's battered and beaten down to protect those he cares for, Charm in that he gives off this aura of peace and kindness making him able to lull individuals into a state of trust (not to mention making Naruto think he was quite attractive), Ice Shard for his extremely fast 1000 water needles attack, Barrier for his ice mirror to dampen the damage received from his opponents, and Endure and Last Resort for his sacrificing of himself for Zabuza.
