Hughie this season.

How is it the wrong way to look at it? I'm not saying it's not the right move, it's not even his move it's Butcher's and I agree that it's possibly the only way. I'm talking about his motives and speculating about where it's going to end up. They've been dropping subtle and not so subtle hints that he's not only enjoying the power, it's going to become the main reason he does things if it isn't already. If it was just about doing whatever it takes he would be like Butcher who said he hated it. Even beyond saying he enjoyed it without talking into account that he literally murdered a person and did not give two shits. He was euphoric while Kimiko was dying in the back of the van and he did not care one bit then or after. The look on his face when Butcher showed him the V in the trunk was not the look of "oh we need V to fight these supes let's do whatever it takes" it was holy fuck I'm going to get to feel powerful and not small and weak again. The best way they showed it was with starlight opening jars for him which in itself has nothing to do with anything but seemed to make him feel frustrated and now he gets to open the jar for her and that is 100% deliberate.
