I felt like this was a thrown in dig at how this show was born by watching The Office UK and how I'm guessing like myself... they think the US version is flat awful, hastily made crap not based in reality. Just listened to a podcast where John said what he tried to do in writing the first season's Henry and Casey story as doing the opposite of what he was seeing on TV at the time. Just my opinion, but it was the biggest laugh in the episode for me.
Also just saying I don't think Garner is the best fit for the show, cause she in fact got her career started on a show with that "will they won't they" dilemma (Alias). She just doesn't envision/subscribe to the ethos of the show and it shows, trying to be all romantic. I'd be crushed if it didn't know Lizzy Caplan is returning for the next season
