John Oliver - Donald Trump (The roast of a fucking lifetime)

I don't know, because I didn't watch it

Go figure lol

<CURRENT_YEAR>

Yeah mate, thing is he's been working on that, I think. I haven't noticed "it's currnet year and such and such" in any of his videos, but I highly doubt that's the reason you don't watch his videos. You don't watch them in case you are made a fool of for your political views and get called out.

Not surprising that you'd be wearing a fedora. Your taste in fashion must be as reprehensible as your taste in entertainment.

Oh great, you also don't know how to detect sarcasm. That's wonderful.

What devalues his points is that he argues against straw men and never presents any of the more compelling arguments of the other side of the issue.

Show me one video with a purely strawman argument, and I'll show you a non-existent video. All his arguments pertain to things people say or do in real life, which you would know, if you actually watched his show at all.

This is the same straw man Captain Current Year used, and is a prime example of what I'm talking about John Oliver doing

Right, it's totally a straw man, because racists don't exist, right? I also like how you dodged that question. Very convenient.

There are lots of legitimate reasons to oppose letting large waves of migrants into your country, as the article I linked previously suggests, yet according to you and your hero the only reason could possibly be that the people who disagree with you believe that an "entire group of people deserve to die."

Hmmm, where did I say that was the only possible reason? Who's creating strawmen, again?

I'm not going to argue with you about immigrants, because that's a whole different argument. But in general, I find that the points people try to make against them fall within the same lines of reasoning behind racism.
