LapisStele Bastion & Whispering UnderBourg

Lapis Stele Bastion - Built upon the remnants of an ancient battle between the old gods. The dusty crumbling records show that the spired bastion was built using a giant Lapis Stone Stele that fell from the sky and defeated a gigantic feline like being. The corpse was said to be left to rot on the hillside next to the giant pillar. Maybe as expected, corruption began too seep into the land and eat away at the surrounding stone landforms over the years. Left in the hollow chambers of the cave, and sprawling around the region; Cor Lapis was found in abundance.

Hundreds of years later, an old peoples found the site and used the extensive cavern system to build sizable mining village. As time went on, the people started to hear strange whispers echoing from the deeper areas of the Mine. Odd things began to happen to the deep corridors, they began to shift as if they were alive. New pathways opened up, and the old began to disappear. Fearing the worst, the lower cave corridors were blocked and forgotten (after the last bit of Cor Lapis was scooped up), and the small mine was abandoned and left to disrepair. Time later, a bastion was built around the stone stele, where it still stands today in what was supposed to be utter disrepair.

Yanfei closes the delicate record book as she gazes upon the massive bastion spire. As the prime legal expert of Liyue, Yanfei had received a commission to perform a building code inspection for a private, aloof client. The commission had been delivered to Yanfei by Green haired girl possessing what seemed to be strange fluffy downward pointing bell shaped ears.

"Grraahhaha, so cute, they were SO CUTE, I nearly lost my composure and touched them!" Yanfei cried to herself. "Nothing will ever get in the way of a Clients satisfaction, the ears will come later..."

Yanfei diligently did her research of the old bastions history, the old forts blueprints were very enlightening, she was meticulous about making sure she was prepared to do an excellent job. "Research, planning, investigation, The key to the success of any legal case!" Yanfei croaked, still frazzled by the fuzzies.

Yanfei looks stands up from a seated position and looks upon what she was lead to believe was an old dilapidated structure. To her astonishment, the whole property had been completely renovated. Yanfei found the whole site completely empty though, not a soul in sight.

She had been sitting on a bench in the open air forge, which interestingly had been built on a cliff-side opening at the end of a small cave corridor. The forge was positioned in such a way as to allow funmes and heat to be whisked away fro mthe forgemaster.

"Quite the office space," Yanfie though as she contemplating what to do next. The slight breeze helped her focus on her thoughts, that is until the ears made their way back into the front of her mind.

Yanfei looked up at the chimney stretched out toward the sky open sky, half built out of the cavern wall itself. "No red marks here either, why is this place so immaculate? How am I supposed to convince the client that this busted down old fort is actually a fully renovated, clean facility with not but a few minor patch suggestions. I'm not getting payed this time..."

All Yanfei could find was a big crack in a wall down in one of the lower cave corridors. Wind came from that crack, something was definitely down their. "not my job to go cave spelunking, they can bet Bennet for that one..." Yanfei snickered.

Perturbed by her experience, yet finding no violations; Yanfei finds a place to write up her report summary, she decides to leave the caves and sit near one of the large stone lion statues chiseled from the hillside. What appears to be an altar rests in front of the poised lion. As she is wrapping up her last few lines of the all to compact report, (minus the glamorous reviews she intends to give in person), she notices the lamp under the stoic lion beginning to light up, but only few candle in strength.

"Small little red thing" Yafei hears a faint Whisper from the flickering light, "You will see, for I will not allow it, I WILL NEVER ALLOW IT!" Screaming as she falls back in frightful shock, Yanfei tumbles off the small landform ledge and falls as elegantly as a Northland Cat. Landing rump first on her lighter than air Skyward Atlas, Yanfei slowly descends the rest of the way to the ground riding her winged book. No more words came from the direction of the poised lion, though the for the slightest of the eye, Yanfei thinks she sees the stone lion ever so slightly shift the weight on its forward paw. Disheveled, again, hesitantly yet curiously, she moves closer to examine the stone carving. Resting under its paw sits a large round stone ball, intricately carved with glyphs and unrecognizable symbols.

After collecting herself and finding nothing more of import, Yanfei travels to a midway camp up the face of DragonsSpine Mountain where her commission was said to be completed. In the distance on the ledge of the mountain Yanfei sees a figure of a knight, painting a distant landscape in the billowing snow. "There's just never enough time, is there? Even when I remove the most troublesome matters from my schedule, I still can't find enough time for everything..." The man looked slightly disinterested, almost bored as he spoke. "Well, did you find anything? "Did she hear anything I wonder?” ... ... ...
