Nobody here is even wrong, not sure what the downvotes are about. Nobody was condoning it, they were trying to tell you the rationale behind it.

You know how some ads are just horribly fucking annoying?

This is like that.

Is it annoying? Yeah.

Is it disruptive? Yeah.

Will it turn people off? Yeah.

But your brain still had the message inserted regardless. You might not know who but you know why and that occupying even a fraction of your day is the whole point and it was successful in its goal. You're talking about it.
