Let’s talk childcare (US)

I haven’t put a ton of thought into it just yet but I work part-time days with benefits at one job. Two 10 hour shifts each week. At the other I am PRN. Usually I fill in enough with the PRN to get full time hours every week. My husband works full time with a highly variable shift. The current plan is for me to cut back or out on my PRN with the baby, and for him to ask for one of my days off each week. That would leave us with one day to potentially cover with I’m thinking a nanny. I think most daycares have a 3 day min. My mom said she wants to help out as much as possible but she already watches my brother and sister-in-law’s 14 month old 5 days/+ a week and I live 45 min away whereas they live down the street. So realistically I don’t think that would pan out. So for now I’m hoping to have a nanny once or twice a week depending on my husband’s schedule but I haven’t looked into the cost yet.
