I recommend you this more because of how soft is the subwoofer, not because the drivers he recommend are hi-fi, you said you like bass in the chest, the only kind of subwoofer that completely make me satisfied is the soft suspension and high max ones because they can play anything.
You don't need a lot of power, you need enclosures that were given time to be made and changed, and the most important thing is the place you put the enclosures, the only way to find out is subwoofer crawling.
