Yeah what the other person said try and disregard the person faking outrage in this comment chain. AS someone with major executive dysfunction issues due to ADD, and as a very left leaning liberal, calling someone in this way is super lame. You did nothing wrong.

i can see how your advice might work and might not, but I also don't see what you said as lacking empathy or rude or any of that. You're literally just saying hey this might work. And in response you're getting "OMG you're so insensitive and naive how rude and dumb can one person be you should be ashamed you don't know my struggle."

It's extremely fucking stupid to talk to people like that. The person could've made their exact point without insulting you and getting all self righteous.
