I’m a Dental Lab Technician

Oh absolutey! I can't tell you how many hours of a week I spend picking bubbles off models and faking ridges because of massive voids.

I legitimately can't stress e ough how much better of a product we make if the dentist cares about their initial impression.

Some doctors who send amazing impressions save money because I won't charge them for all the trimming and stuff if they need it. It's like $5 for a model trim, so it's not like they're saving a ton, but it helps.

One of our docs only uses alginate, sends us models with a patty the size of a dinner plate, unseparated and never inspected and often times half dried material. It's a nightmare, man. I would legitimately never go there.

It IS kinda fun to go to the dentist and inspect your OWN impression, lol.
