Man (46) arrested after two three-month-old babies left fighting for their lives following alleged botched circumcision

Are you high? I had secondary phimosis and a frenulum breve. My foreskin could not retract while erect. I had frenuloplasty which failed to resolve the issue then a circumcision, which resolved the issue. Were there other options? Sure, I could have painfully stretched the bastard over a period of years but fuck that, circumcision was far and away the best choice for me.

Your opinion here is bunk man, your argument seems to boil down to "Any practice that was originally performed without concrete rational reason can never have a rational reason". Blood letting was practiced for years with zero evidence that it did anything. Turns out that it is an effective treatment for hemochromatosis and polycythemia. 30,000 years ago folks were drilling holes in their heads to get closer to their Gods. Turns out it can save your fucking life if you have a hematoma up there.

The point here is that you are spouting about the scientific method and have completely failed to apply said method to your own beliefs. For any given hypothesis you must look for what facts would prove it wrong, not only the facts that support it. In a world where circumcision was purely cosmetic you would not expect to find anyone using it to treat. Did you even look for any?
