McLaren College free Full-Stack Web Development course

I am from the first batch, if anyone has any questions then let me know. and for people who are saying that they can do 10 boot camps. Yes, you can, I have tried those so-called boot camps and courses. I have accumulated over 100+ courses in Udemy, spent over Rs7000 on Udemy, enrolled in codewithmosh course as well.

Here are the issues with other bootcapms and cheap courses 1. No 1 on 1 experience. I have sent 2 emails while enrolled in codewithmosh regarding my course certificates, no reply ever. You can't interact with the instructor, its just one sided conversation. People will so you can ask on forums. Forums are filled with inexperienced students. Most of the answers will be guesses or based on incomplete knowledge. Interacting with students and your instructors are not the same thing.

  1. outdated content. You need to find a course that is released just now, to get the latest content. then it becomes outdated after a few months. Some courses are updated but they just add extra video, mos of the content is still outdated, methods adopted in a majority of their course is still outdated. codewithmosh react course is using class components, he has added videos on functional components but it's not the same thing.

  2. No help with the jobs. here you get support after learning as well. You get support after the course has ended as well. My course has ended but we all still have regular zoom calls where we discuss our progress with batchmates and our instructors. They advise us on how to apply for jobs, how to write proposals, how to set up our profile, what to do, and what not to do. Even regular colleges don't offer this.

  3. Mentors, you not only have to support from instructors but mentors as well. My batch mates will be 2nd batch mentors and 3rd batch mentors will be from 2nd batch and so on.

  4. Now let's come to the calculation part. 10% of $500 = $50 for 24 months 1200. Why assume you will only be paid 500$, let's take a bigger number, double it. So it becomes $2400. People will ask you to concentrate only on this $2400 but I will ask you to look at the whole picture. How much have you earned in these 24 months? 1000*24 = $24000. How much will you earn after these 24 months? How much do you pay for help with job hunting? How much do you pay for building your profile? People are posting jobs on Upwork, they are asking someone to be their mentors after completing boot camps. Because boot camps don't offer support after the course has ended. You will be getting that for free

Now I have talked about codewithmosh, codewithmosh isn't a bad course as well. And there are other Bootcamp's with good content as well. For some people that will be enough. But some people need 1 on 1 interaction. I believe this course is for those people, who have enrolled in countless courses but were never able to complete any of them due to lack of some oversight. If you can learn by bootcamps then don't even pay for boot camps, there are enough free resources on the internet, you can become a great developer without spending a single dime. But I bet thousands of people will relate to me when I say that some oversight, constant push from instructors, competing with your batchmates, and 2 sided conversation helps a lot.

If I have motivated you to join the course then good luck, you will need it. Because it won't be easy, you will have to complete your assignments on time. You won't be able to hide on the last bench as you might have done in your school. You will have to interact and be part of the conversation. You will be continuously tested and pushed to do better. You will have to work hard, If you don't take the course seriously you will be kicked out.
