Spotify recommended The Menzingers to me after listening to a ton of Against Me! and Hot Water Music.

I’m a casual fan of HWM and some personal favorites are Trusty Chords, Remedy and All Heads Down.

I’ve been a casual fan of Against Me! since middle school. I picked up Laura Jane Grace’s autobiography last year and become mildly obsessed. I just finished my second read through last month. I dove deep into every album and there are things I love about all of them.

White Crosses is probably their most accessible album. The chorus from Bamboo Bones gets stuck in my head at least once a week and I Was a Teenage Anarchist is required listening.

My favorite album, however, is Transgender Dysphoria Blues...

HO... LY... SHIT!

LJG wrote this album when she began transitioning. Not only is it some of the best writing in the scene, I think it’s some of the best lyrics in music. It’s that good.

This turned into an Against Me! gush session... but yeah... you might like my suggestions if you’re into The Menzingers! lol
