Campaign Test Trial 1

The magistrate of newly-conquered Asia province hears news of a war between the Kings of Pontus and Armenia against their neighbors. They have effectively toppled the government of the kingdom of Galatia, but Cappadocia and Bithynia are still holding out. Roman intervention in this war is vital, as it will preserve the fragile supremacy Rome has established in Asia Minor and Greece. Quaestor Lucius Papirius Maximus has been dispatched by the magistrate to taken on these savages in direct assault with the might of five full Roman legions and two auxiliary armies: one Greek and one Asian.

Considering Pontus and Armenia are renowned for their cavalry, something the Romans have struggled to combat, some maluses are applied.

Total maluses and bonuses: +5 for weakened allies from Bithynia and Cappadocia -10 for enemy having substantial cavalry presence -15 for Asia only having been held for 6 years Total malus: -20

[[1d100-20 success]]

Considering the rudimentary war plans, rolling a 70 or above will be considered a successful campaign.
