Moving to Clarksville

It was founded for the sole reason that families didn't want their white children going to school with black children.

I don't know if this characterization is fair and it has bothered me for a few days. I honestly don't know whether it's accurate or just a response to the Cindy Hyde-Smith scandal in Mississsippi, but I've been aware of Clarksville Academy for a long time and I've never considered it a school that was rooted in racist values. One of my dear friends is a black person who graduated from CA and I believe that person had a quality experience there. I'm white, and I'm aware that I have huge blindspots regarding the perception of racism, but I just don't feel it there.
