Hi, based on your history I don’t really think you can solve the problem by trying to understand why your ex-boyfriend did what he did. Obviously he’s an asshole and not worthy of your love. Overthinking whether he genuinely loves the other girl and will treat her better than he treated you will just do more harm than good for you. I can tell that being in this relationship took a big hit to your self-esteem. The best thing you can do for yourself is take a step back and work to rebuild that self-esteem from the ground up. Block him on everything, delete his pictures and your messages, just start from scratch. I’m not suggesting that you throw out the last two years together and act like it didn’t happen, but instead see it as an event of the past. You do not need to search for any underlying reasoning for anything because it’ll just make you spiral.
