Need help putting the finishing touches on my Chainer deck before I drop the cash on it.

You should consider running all of the following:

  • [[Triskelion]] - instant with with Mikaeus, the Unhallowed (infinite damage combo)
  • [[Entomb]]
  • [[Necropotence]] - this is considered by many to be a must in any deck that runs B
  • [[Grave Pact]] - better version of Dictate IMO
  • [[Sheoldred, Whispering One]] - one of the best reanimation targets IMO...and then it reanimates for you and forces them to sac, This can pretty much win games on it's own.

Chainer is a bit slow and you cannot rely on him to be in play at all times:

  • [[Animate Dead]]
  • [[Dance of the Dead]]
  • [[Necromancy]]

Tutors to ensure you get the cards you need:

  • [[Demonic Tutor]]
  • [[Vamiric Tutor]]

Optional things to consider:

  • [[Dark Ritual]] - IMO far superior ramp than that wayfarer's bauble suggestion, T1 DR into Entomb + animate dead. LIVE THAT DREAM!
  • [[Mimic Vat]] - this can be fun with kukusho and a sac outlet...I feel this is a bit slow and easy to disrupt though.

Things I would take out:

  • Attrition - This is not a grindy deck straight up removal is better and faster
  • Whip of Erebos - we want things in our yard, not exiled
  • Decree of Pain - way to slow IMO
  • Sepulchral Primordial - don't feel this pack enough of a punch as it relies on other ppl have creatures I want
  • Skullclamp - this card is great if you have something for it to kill. We're not running bitterblossom and small value creatures so this should probably go.
  • Abhorrent Overlord - circumstantial, out board state may never get big enough for this to have a big impact.
  • Crux of Fate - IMO, really bad removal unless you are in dragon tribal
  • Ghoulcaller Gisa - we have better sac outlets, at 5cmc she is slow and not worth reanimating
  • Black Market - to slow IMO and we are not a value staxy sac dec
  • Magus of the Coffers - IMO slow again
  • Disciple of Bolas - we don't want to sac the awesome stuff we put into play!

There's a couple other cuts you could make as well, these changes I noted should bring you deck up a few notches to be substantially more powerful. I am still worried about how fast it will take off as reanimator without green in EDH is a bit slow as I usually run around ten-twelve accelerators and 32 lands.

P.S. Seriously, I would not recommend Wayfarer's Bauble to someone for EDH...3CMC for 1 basic is a terrible card IMO.
