Nokia failed to deliver its promise (Nokia 7.1, TA-1095, CZ)

Good grief. Can I believe this?

I appreciate any users concerns about updates, but no of us have a right to criticize the manufacturer if the service provider holds up the update.

OP - you do not understand the issue. It makes no difference at all your device is sim unlocked.

The service provider you use still has to run through a series of compatibility tests toi ensure your service still works after that update. This happens quite more frequently than you think.

In UK, the Nokia 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 pie update was held up over three months due to network compatibility issues. Nokia/HMD had promised Our in "the first quarter of 2019" which they did deliver, but O2 and 3 UK held up the update for over 10 weeks for further testing.

Most users simply placed another sim in their device and downloaded the pie update

Others used a private VPN and downloaded it that way.

Whilst I understand it's very frustrating, I don't feel their us a need here to unduly criticize the manufacturer, if a service provider is final testing the update.

But I warn you, if the update causes you the problems everyone else on tb Nokia 7, 8 and 9PV series are experiencing, you would be the first person to complain about the update not being tested enough before release.

It seems every device is having issues of some sort after updating so it may be best to wait rather than give up now.

Edit.

My own 4.2 and 2.2 are due 10 "in the first quarter of 2020" but after reading all the Nokia android 10 bugs and problems, I've decided not to update and move to another device manufacturer.
