Official "I am done with this team" Megathread - Post your angry, reactionary posts in here only!

I'm going to use this space to go on a rant about this organization. Let me preface this by saying I have been a Skins fan my whole life, but I am not from the area. Born and raised in Socal and have no recollection of why I ever started to like this team. I just always have.

For me the last straw was the the Rueben Foster signing, which I know turned out to be something entirely different. I was upset when they signed him but remembered to keep in mind that we didn't know the whole story. That's when it struck me that even if he was %100 innocent I just couldn't continue to support this team and look at myself in the mirror every day. There's just too much other stuff that can't be overlooked and I had finally crossed a line.

I'm guessing I'll lose many of you here, but the largest factor to me is the name. I won't get into the arguments because we've all been over them, and I used to be on the other side of this one so I know how they feel. I'll just share a personal story. I went to college as an old guy and was really just in it for the experience. I fell into Archaeology as a major simply because it was fun. I did my field work in few different Native American sites. During digs we worked closely with Native groups (for obvious reasons) and I found myself incredibly hesitant to reveal to them my status as the West Coast's most devoted Skins fan. That got me questioning why I was reluctant to admit it, and that's a slippery slope. I'm not saying you have to study Native American history or even that you have to talk to native people about this, I just think it becomes very hard to justify the continued use of this name if you really open your mind to the entirety of it. It's ridiculous at this point, change the fucking name. It would be so easy, call them the Warriors. Washington Warriors, it's a nice alliteration. And they wouldn't even need to change the logos. If they at least did this I would come back.

Next, Daniel Snyder is a colossal dickhole. No joke, and team management aside, he is a despicable human being. While this might not be enough to drive me away alone, it certainly made the decision more clear. I can't give this asshole my money any more. I'll take this opportunity to bring up the recent story about the treatment of cheerleaders. Doesn't that just seem like something that would go down in a Snyder run organization? It feels like that and so much more to me, and I'm tired of being attached to the filth of it and feeling icky.

Getting back to the team, it's a dumpster fire. Yeah they've done nicely in the draft lately, but Snyder has more than proven himself as dogshit at running an NFL team. He needs to give total control to somebody that knows what they're doing, somebody not Bruce Allen. The stadium is maybe the worst in the entire NFL, and I'm admittedly bitter about getting stuck in a god damned obstructed view seat. What a miserable experience. This used to be one of the league's marquee franchises, now other fans pity us.

I know, "don't let the door hit you" and all, but this seemed an appropriate place to discuss these things.
