Do you pay with fizz on or off?

Seeing as I only have 1v1 experience, I can imagine it makes team games very hectic and likely impossible/boring to watch. For 1v1 from my perspective it makes the larger map we have work. There are far less unblocked shots when both players can use it defensively. With it off there are many moments where the player with the ball will get many unblockable points or easy setups for 15 point shots.

I remember when I first saw idarb, I was watching videos of mostly team games, and I had no clue what was going on. The game was already hectic, and hard to follow with my untrained eyes. So from an outsiders perspective, team games in idarb are already very hectic and have plenty of room for great defensive plays. From my experience, fartdashing shines in 1v1. For me, it makes every single second exciting, heartpounding, palmsweating, and fun.

Since I have no personal expereince with team games, I cant say for sure. But remembering how team games looked when I first saw idarb makes me think it would be unbelievably hard to keep up with whats going on if everyone was fartdashing. So I agree that it should only be for 1v1 or potentially 2v2 (at least until we get smaller maps and see how that works).

As far as extending the time to charge, I vote to remove the "final fizz" from the game and replace that with the ability to perform the fart dash. The final fizz is just not very useful (unless I am missing something about it), and may make fartdashing take just long enough to not be abused. I would love it if fartdashing was nerfed just enough to make it an alternate strategy and not the best option. Taking longer to build it up would make you chose whether to waste time trying to do it, or just platforming/normal dashing to defend.

At least I am glad there is a discussion to be had on the subject, we may just need to wait until more people are familiar with the technique and see if the devs attempt to tone it back in some aspect. Either way, I love this game, lets do all we can to help it grow regardless of our opinions on this subject.
