Three questions for you:

Why is taxing the rich a bad thing?

Are you under the impression we don't?

Are conservative politics financially harmful to the poor/people born into a poor family and people of color? If not, how so?

Strive for equal opportunity, not equal outcome.

In what ways should people get help when they are in a position of poverty? As one avenue of assistance how much government involvement do conservatives believe in regarding this issue?

Those that need help should get it. Those that make it a career or abuse it should be dealt with harshly.

Back to you first point though. If the goal is no more millionaires, billionaires, ever wonder what your tax rate would be to make up that 74% loss in tax revenue?

Total income tax revenue was 4.9 trillion dollars. If we lose the top 10%, that's 3.6 trillion dollars that would need to be made up.

There are roughly 155 million workers in the us, that comes out to an average of $23,000 in ADDITONAL taxes.

The average worker makes $33.18/hour, so about $67/year, and would currently pay about $10,300 in Federal income tax.

Total take home (yes, other stuff, but federal), about $56,000 per year.

If we get rid of the top 10%, those taxes go up to $33,300. 50% effective tax rate..

Losing the top 10% would wipe out the middle class.
