Do people truly want to stop evolving as people based off nostalgia from all generations?

I agree here. Some people here don’t seem to understand what I’m trying to say but that’s fine. I’m not trying to stop them from wanting to reminisce or “force someone to grow up to become adults”. I see a comment before said this I’m trying to say grow up. I mean we are all adults here, I assume? lol we already grown. Every week somebody here is panicking about aging as well and wanna stay a child or a teenager or have these messed up time limits on life or going insane about their ages instead of improving themselves, working on their issues, and embracing their ages. Worrying about society ageism agenda or in fear because they’re comparing themselves to someone else life or wanting to go back to fix something or “they messed out” on something.

As far nostalgia it’s a once in a while thing or to be used in moderation because it will distort your views and can make you not grow as a person or embrace lies or discount reality. I found myself with distorted views years ago from nostalgia but because at the time there was something missing from my personal life and it was like an escape for a time with fake glasses on of the past. I unsubscribed from all generation subreddits though because I didn’t want to consistently have my mind wrapped around nostalgia on my timeline or battling generations but I do lurk once in a while then don’t come back. There’s a lot of people who don’t wanna have this conversation at all from any generation. Discussing a historical event is just history not that we want to go back to war world war 2 or 1 years as a society like someone tried to say below in this thread lol. People like the war story topics that’s fine, I like history but we ain’t trying to say 1930 is better than 2023. I’ve seen a lot of people get delusional with their nostalgia lol loving the 90s or 80s or 70s now recent 2000s musics or films or cartoons but wanna go back there physically to live, I’m like no thanks. It’s like moments I appreciate and have good memories, like how far I’ve come and my favorite past something but that’s where it stops. It would never stop me from enjoying the new world though or make me wanna go back to being a child or reverse time back. It’s about moving forward and still enjoying todays world and enjoying those moments in moderation.
