So, people who have heard This Is Why, tell us what you think!

I've listened to this album about twenty times now and I think it's my favorite Paramore album to date. All of the songs are incredible except for "C'est Comme Ca," which feels out of place. It was the only single that made me nervous, it's grown on me a little but the rest is so god damned good. There are so many different sounds and vibes that I wanted to hear from Paramore and they delivered. I can hear influences from Bloc Party, We Are Scientists, but one I noticed that made me super happy was Jimmy Eat World, which is a band that Paramore always loved. It is so refreshing coming from After Laughter which I really enjoy, but it may have strayed too far in an experimental direction for me to fall completely in love with it as I did with Brand New Eyes and Self-Titled.

Hayley's vocals have changed. We knew that from the first time we heard TIW. If you've listened to both solo albums, you're going to hear a lot of those vocals, there's going to be some familiarity, but with Paramore, it's the perfect blend.

THIS is Paramore in 2023. It'll appeal to new listeners. I don't want to call it adult contemporary, it's not. I don't even want to give it any specific genre. It's kind of a smorgasbord of genres and Paramore grown up. It deserves awards. I'm so happy with it.

As I said, I've listened to it quite a bit now and I may give it a rest for a while because I want the songs to remain fresh, but with this album, re-playability (aside from CCC) should be a non issue.

If you have any questions about a specific song, feel free to ask. Running Out of Time is my current fave.
